ased to host Dr. Conrad Lautenbacher’s visited NC State University in October 2018. Dr. Lautenbacher is a retired Navy Vice Admiral, former Undersecretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere, eighth administrator of NOAA, and president of the Consortium for Oceanographic Research and Education.
Dr. Lautenbacher presented a Special Dept. of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences seminar titled “Science and the Real World” during his visit.
